Alison Stein Wellner's Bio
What do I like to write about? I've always had trouble with the question, because the honest answer is, I like to write about things that interest me, and that covers a lot of territory.
If you were to press my back up against the wall, I'd say I specialize in narrative stories about places and travel. I'm on a mission to explore every corner of the globe. In 2007, I tackled assignments that took me to Germany, China, Argentina, New Zealand, Poland, Scotland, Honduras, South Africa, and flitted around North America quite a bit in between.

Whew. On the personal side, I'm a New Yorker, born, raised and still residing in Manhattan. I spent about eight years living outside of the city, in various non-urban spots throughout the Northeast. I always really enjoy coming home, which is stocked with my husband Phil, a brilliant and tough and may I add, super-cute, lawyer, and our two fabulous cats, Buzz and Ginger.
